Putting money into your own home means that you have the land the home sits on as well as the house itself. The payment that is made on the house is invested into the home and you know that it will be yours.
A rental property has certain specifications as to what you are and are not allowed to do to it while renting. You can't really decorate the home the way you want in case you end up having to move. Pictures have to be put on the wall a certain way. There are so many things that you cannot do in a rental home, which is why when you own your own home, it is more convenient. Owning your own house means that it is yours and you decide how it looks. You can add a swimming pool, carport, any modifications that you want to add. This can be done without the headache of asking a landlord and getting permission. The colors can be chosen based on what you like. Carpet can be added or taken away and cabinets can be installed. Children can do as they want more than in a rental home. Most people want to be able to have a say in how their home looks and when you own your own home you have that privilege.
